Wanna play words with friends?
If we do, I just want you to know that my words are going to be beyond basic due to my extreme fatigue! But, that sounds fun =]
jackofallspades replied to your post: Something that occurs to me whenever I read Hamlet.
“My mom remarried, I have a wonderful girlfriend who cares about me, and my new dad is gonna pay for my vacation….nope, still mopey and depressed. Let’s make everyone so crazy and distraught that it kills them. That way they understand my ANGST!”
I wouldn’t go THAT far. But, yeah…he talks so much.
I think there’s something more than just the dead dad, father/uncle, mother/aunt, ghost telling him he needs to get revenge issue. Hamlet’s a genius, I think. He has so much intelligence rattling around in his brain, there’s nothing for him to do and nowhere for it to go at this point. So he says a lot. Then again, it is a play and the only way for us to know anything is for the characters to talk. A lot.
But, still. I think with his intelligence, his dad’s death, the ghost, the girl, his mom, his uncle, Denmark…no wonder he started going crazy. I’m pretty sure it started as an act, but it ran away with him.
Well…that went on longer and farther than I meant…
jackofallspades replied to your post: The downside to watching Doctor Who all at once.
Poor Becca…just go see a new series or something while you wait.
Haha! I’m going to take my time this summer to watch Torchwood.
But I don’t think I’m going to do that again with any other shows!

Who, Phil? Yeah, he’s a cool dude. Makes the best stir fry in existence. AND, he’s an avid Dr. Who fan as well. :)

jackofallspades replied to your post: I was watching Scrubs and “Waffle Time” came on. And fret not, for I feel the flaky buttery call of bread and things this passover as well. So, plans for the summer?
Working at DSC in Philly for most of my summer too (internship). But hopefully see concerts, play video games, and work out.
Are you studying advertising?? That sounds like an awesome internship! Concerts…that reminds me. I’m also going to see Glee Live in June.
Sounds like a great summer =]
